An unlocked wireless device will work with a SIM card from any wireless provider.
To find out if your device is unlocked:
- Turn off your device.
- Locate your device’s SIM card slot.
- Get a different SIM card (e.g., a friend or family member’s).
- Insert it into your device.
- Turn your device’s power back on.
If it works normally and you can make a call, it means your device is unlocked. If it says « Sim card not valid », « restricted » or « contact service provider » then your device is NOT unlocked.
Fido = Rogers = Chat-R; Telus = Koodo; Bell = Virgin.
If your iPhone works with Bell and Virgin Mobile SIM cards, it does not mean that it’s unlocked.
